We would like to suggest the following procedures in order to ensure the best quality fiberglass deck.
- When framing your deck, please use a minimum of ¾” tongue and groove exterior plywood for the sub floor. You
must make sure to pitch your deck a minimum of ¼” per linear foot. We are not responsible for puddles or poor run
off. The roof pitch is the sole responsibility of the builder.
- The sub fascia should be applied prior to the installation of the fiberglass so that we can install our PVC rot-resistant
fascia drip edge.
- Any handrail posts should be installed prior to our fiberglass deck installation so that we can roll the fiberglass up the
bottom of the posts for a watertight seal.
- Before installation of stucco and siding on exterior walls (where the fiberglass flashes up the wall), we recommend a
row of ice and water shield to seal any nail holes where starter strips are applied.
- Do not install railings until the color coat has been applied and is thoroughly dry.
